Prayer Support

Hello everyone,

Where to begin...
All that is going on in our world has dramatically impacted all of our lives and the lives of every single teen in the Klamath Basin.
Please take the following requests before the throne of our heavenly Father.

WISDOM:  In the midst of requirements that seem to change daily, and youth no longer allowed in school, or to be in groups, we need God's insight in how to stay connected with them and help guide them through this crisis while pointing them to Jesus.
TECHNOLOGY:  Pray for wisdom in how to leverage technology during this time and provide relationship somehow that is deeper than social media provides.
STUDENTS AT HOME ALONE UNTIL APRIL 28TH:  This is a major prayer request.  Schools in Oregon are closed until April 28th.  Most students live where both parents/guardians work outside the home daily.  Ask the Lord to redeem this time and miraculously intervene to help them use their enormous free time to seek His face instead of doing what "idle hands" naturally gravitate toward.
HEALTH:  For the moment, we appear to be outside the hot zone of this epidemic.  But please pray for people's overall health in general.
SAFETY:  Ask the Father to watch over youth when they will be raising themselves for the next month and a half.  Pray for wise decisions.
SANITARY PRACTICE:  Yes, most kids have been taught hygiene.  But that doesn't mean they practice it.  Pray they learn new habits that will last a lifetime.
TEEN PREGNANCY:  Ask God to intervene in advance.  So many teens at home alone unsupervised doesn't tend to be a good recipe regarding teen pregnancy.
FAMILIES REUNITED:  One primary benefit we hope to see as a result of this crisis is families reconnecting.  While they're home together pray they interact face to face and enjoy playing games together rather than spending time on their screens.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT:  The decisions to handle this virus will impact all of us, including every member of our support team.  Pray for God's provision in their lives, for their businesses and families.  Pray for God's continued provision for Basin YFC too.
REPLACE not CANCEL:  We long to find ways to replace what we are used to doing with something new and helpful instead of cancelling.
PEACE:  Most youth today have a post-Christian mindset.  Jesus, and the stories of the Bible, are totally foreign to them.  As a result, they are very susceptible to fear.  Pray for them while they are on their screens for hours a day that God leads them to sites, videos, memes, etc. that point them to Jesus Christ.  The resources on the internet are abundant.  Ask the Father to ignite a passion in their heart to binge watch videos about Jesus on Youtube, etc.

2 Chronicles 7:14 "if My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
Thank you for taking God at His word and interceding for our nation, and the youth of the Klamath Basin.  May the Lord redeem this time and use it to do the miraculous for His glory.
Jesus loves you so much,
Patrick Hagerty - Basin YFC Director
