On July 2nd, we wrapped up a busy summer camp season in Basin Youth For Christ. Â We wish you could’ve been there to see the Lord at work this summer, but we’re happy to tell you about them too. Â We love giving young people the chance to break from their typical routines, unplug from electronics, and connect with Jesus and each other for a week. This is just a glimpse of the wonderful work of God from our summer events…
Middle School Camp
Every year, we're blessed to partner with two local churches for Middle School Camp at Mountain Lakes Bible Camp. We get to spend the week outside in God's wonderful creation playing games, singing God's praises at the top of our lungs, learning God's word each morning and evening, and taking advantage of the silence and solitude accessible to us to "be still" and experience God's presence.
Fun & Games
From cardboard boats to color wars to nighttime counselor hunts, we love having fun at camp! Games and activities have helped students to get to know new people and build friendships that last beyond the end of the week.
Teaching From the Hall of Faith
Throughout the week, Patrick took us through the Hall of Faith in Hebrews chapter 11, highlighting the godly qualities displayed by many of the heroes of the Old Testament.
Silence & Solitude
This year was the first time we dedicated time and space for campers to encounter the Lord through the spiritual practice of solitude: being still and silent away from the distractions of everyday life to fully attend to God.
This summer, there were...
Over 100 Students
many of which came from schools here in the Basin
27 New Believers
who gave their lives to Jesus while at camp
48 Believers Recommitted
after walking away from faith or feeling distant from God
More highlights from the week:
High School Retreat
Quite a change of pace from Middle School Camp, our annual High School Retreat has been a wonderful way to connect with students through casual conversations in a relaxed, slowed-down environment. We are blessed to be able to spend our time together at a Worldmark Resort where we are split into small group "families" for the week, sharing small group discussions and sitting down for meals together.
Relaxed & Open
Our agenda for the week is pretty open, allowing for plenty of time for conversations, socializing, silence & solitude, and taking advantage of the amenities such as the pool, volleyball pit, or basketball court.

Praise & Parables
Each morning and evening, we get our whole group together to worship Jesus and to listen to teaching from the Bible. This summer, our leaders shared from some of the Parables of Jesus.

Fun-Filled Day
Each year we take one of our days to visit a nearby attraction. This summer, we got to visit Six Flags: Animal Kingdom to enjoy rides, visit wildlife exhibits, and experience live animal presentations.

See For Yourself:
All of this was made possible by the wisdom and provision of our gracious Lord, who uses people like you to pour out His blessings to accomplish His will and plan. Every contribution you make, whether support in prayer or financial partnership, impacts the next generation of young people in the Klamath Basin. Praise Jesus, and thank you for being part of our story at Basin Youth For Christ.
Grace and peace to you,
